See Violet's Sutton Foster Toast Her Sixth Tony Nomination With Champagne & Pay Tribute to Her Mom

Sutton Foster couldn’t have picked better hosts to visit on Tony nomination day, April 29! Kathie Lee and Hoda had champagne on hand at The Today Show (of course they did!) to toast the news that the two-time Tony winner had picked up her sixth Tony nod for playing the titular role in Violet. The production also garnered a nomination for Best Revival of a Musical and Foster revealed that the tuner's team “already feel like we’ve won” as they never thought the show would be on the Great White Way. She later became emotional as she talked about her Mom, who recently passed away and how she’d “never be where I am without her.” Check out the interview below.
